I got a call from a company that claims I entered a sweepstake a year and a half ago. They told me I have made it along with other finalists that coincidentally live in the same town I live (Gilbert, Az in the metropolitan Phoenix area).
She proceded to ask me if I fall in a certain age range and a certain income range. It rung a bell so I aked if it was time sharing, she assured me that it is not.
I asked her why I needed to tell her how much I make and she said that if I win the Ford Explorer I would be responsible for the taxes and that they only want to make sure that I can face that expense.
She told me that for sure I have won one of these four prizes:
1. 2,500 Cash
2. 3 day vacation for 2 in Sn Fco, Vegas or Bahamas
3. 27 Panasonic TV
4. 2008 Ford explorer.

She tried to make an appointment but told me that I need to come with my wife. When I asked why she said that if I win the Explorer then my wife would need to be present according to state law.

She told me that we would be in and out in about 90 minutes, just like timeshare. The company name is Star Club and they are in the travel industry.

Sounds like timesharing to me.
